Connecting the Dots in My Life
The eleventh hour strikes on the clock tower: time is short. Yet the reading material offers hope: to focus on the present moment rather than the passage of time (Tolle), to "be yourself and live life fearlessly" (Moorjani), and to discover that what is perceived as one's flaw may eventually lead to salvation (May). The apple and artwork title are references to Steve Jobs' 2005 commencement address at Stanford: one must trust that the dots will connect when looking back at one's life. The clock tower is at Filoli, an historical estate where I experience beauty, order, and harmony. The Big Dipper and North Star refer to following one's inner guidance just as sailors used the North Star to navigate. Acrylic on Canvas.
